In a context of acute crisis affecting harshly the Palestinian cultural scene, the French Institute of Jerusalem has partnered with Palestinian and French organizations to design a residency program that will organize 57 residencies (24 in Palestine and 33 in France).<\/p>\n
This program is a continuation of the French Institute of Jerusalem long-standing action in the artistic residency field.<\/p>\n
It aims to support Palestinian artists with diverse profiles in terms of disciplines, generations. Its goal is to accompany them in the development of a research and creation project in all sectors of contemporary creation.<\/p>\n
A first call<\/b> for applications has been published in spring 2024 for 3-month residencies\u00a0to be carried out at Palestinian cultural institutions venues and taking place between\u00a0July and December 2024.<\/b><\/p>\n
A second call<\/b> for applications is now open for 3 to 6-month residencies in France\u00a0to be carried out at French cultural institutions institutions and will take place between\u00a0January 2025 and December 2025.<\/b><\/p>\n
For those who applied or took part in the first call, they can also reapply and take part\u00a0in this second call.<\/p>\n
This program is aimed at Palestinian artists of all disciplines<\/b> (visual arts, performing\u00a0arts, music, writing, and cinema) residing in Jerusalem or the West Bank or\u00a0<\/b>originally from Gaza and living abroad<\/b>, to enable them to maintain a creative\u00a0activity. In particular, it seeks to promote the diversity of Palestinian artists\u2019 profiles,\u00a0whether emerging or established, with an emphasis on the diversity of social and\u00a0geographical contexts.<\/p>\n
Exhibition curators are also welcome to apply.<\/p>\n

These workshops are open to all interested applicants and will be held on the following dates:<\/p>\n These sessions will focus on discussing the challenges of mobility and providing practical advice to artists before they complete their applications.<\/p>\n\n
